Alliance Française de Brisbane is proud to support the Australian presentation of Le Cri Muet des Fleurs (The Silent Cry of Flowers), a powerful contemporary dance work by acclaimed New Caledonian choreographer Sthan Kabar-Louet.
Presented for two exclusive Australian performances only, this evocative work brings together contemporary dance, classical influences and the rich cultural heritage of New Caledonia to explore resilience, identity, memory and the power of movement.
After an exceptional international career with the Béjart Ballet Lausanne, Sthan Kabar-Louet returned to New Caledonia, where he has played a major role in developing professional dance and dance education. His work bridges cultures and generations, bringing a distinctly Pacific perspective to contemporary choreography.
