Education Officer

We are looking for an Education Officer to plan, organise, coordinate, and promote the Alliance’s educational offerings.

As the premier French language and cultural centre in Brisbane, we are looking for a reliable and organised team player who will coordinate our team of 15+ teachers around innovative pedagogical projects to allow us to reach an even wider audience.

Casual French language tutors

The Alliance Française de Brisbane is looking to hire a motivated and experienced French tutor to join its casual teaching team.

The selection criteria are as follows:

• Master in FLE or Diploma in FLE or a Teaching Degree or Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
• Experience in teaching French to adults and/or children and teenagers
• Excellent communication skills
• Interest and skills in using multimedia tools and documents for teaching
• Familiar with the action based approach and the communicative approach
• Willingness to work within a team and communicate with the teaching team
• Willingness to promote the Alliance's courses and activities to students
• Interest and skills in developing resources and course curricula
• Current Australian working visa is necessary
• QLD Blue card is necessary
• Availability to teach in the evening during the week and on Saturday morning is necessary

Volunteers

If you love all things French and would like to help bring French and Francophone events to life please let us know. We're seeking expressions of interest for volunteers to help support the book club, library, movie and cultural events.

Internships

Alliance Française is looking for interns to do work experience for 3 to 6 months in the field(s) of communication, event management and/or French language teaching. A good command of English is required.

We are not able to offer paid internships. 

Please be advised that we currently cannot offer a job experience to interns coming from universities outside Australia.
