This class is for students who have had extensive exposure to the French language, either because they have attended a French speaking school or because they come from a French speaking family. With a focus on reading and text comprehension, les Grands Frenchies learn conjugation and grammar including adjectives, adverbs and irregular verbs. This class is equivalent to a CM1/CM2 level in France.

Pace: 1 hour per week over 9 weeks

Launched by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs upon presidential request, the French Language Child Pass (PELF) aims to provide opportunities for French children living abroad, who are distant from the French language, to reconnect with French.
The five Alliance Française in Australia (Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney, Perth) were part of the PELF pilot program in 2025; this is the continuation of the program.
