In this masterclass, we'll examine the prestigious region of Burgundy, home to two of France’s most beloved varietals: Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. These wines are known for their purity and finesse, though vastly different in their other attributes - from the crisp minerality of a white Burgundy to the silky complexity of a red.

You’ll explore the region’s signature styles and learn how centuries of tradition, climate, and terroir have shaped its reputation around the world. What makes a Burgundy so unique? Why are Chardonnay and Pinot Noir so expressive here, and how do they compare to the versions we know from elsewhere?

Todd Rumble, from Gathered Wine, will guide you through eight exceptional wines, sharing insights into Burgundy’s winemaking culture, regional characteristics, and how they have evolved and dispersed around the world—all in a fun and accessible format.
