Le Défi Inter-Alliances is an online trivia tournament in French. Alliances Française students from around the world compete to win the grand prize - up to 6 winners will enjoy a trip to Nice!
We also have exciting prizes for the winners of our local Brisbane round - a free course at AF Brisbane, and bottles of champagne and
wine are up for grabs for the top 3 contestants!
Besides the awesome prizes, the Défi is a fun way to practise your French, test your knowledge of French culture, connect with
students from other classes and perhaps cities and countries, and to proudly represent Brisbane & Australia in an international
competition!
The 2025 competition consists of four rounds:

Round 4: INTERNATIONAL FINAL
TBC - the week of 21 July 2025, in-person at the Alliance Française de Nice, France |
The two highest scoring contestants of the local and national selections will progress to the next round. The highest scoring
contestant of the geographical zone selection will travel to Nice and compete in the international final.
Entry is free! The competition is open to all current AF Brisbane students in level A2 and above, aged 18+.
