Alliance Francaise de Brisbane is thrilled to offer you a tailor-made French immersion program for adults on the beautiful island of New Caledonia, in partnership with CREIPAC.
Spend 9 nights in New Caledonia, with daily morning French lessons from qualified, native speakers.
During your free time you will get to experience the rich blend of French and Kanak culture through cultural excursions and hands-on
workshops with locals.
Sharpen your language skills through immersion and gain confidence by practising in real-life interactions. You will be accompanied by a
teacher from Alliance Francaise to further help you in your language acquisition.
Most of your immersion trip will be spent in Nouméa, the cosmopolitan capital of New Caledonia.
The port city blends French elegance with island charm. From turquoise lagoons and golden beaches, to vibrant markets and rich Kanak heritage, it offers a perfect mix of relaxation and cultural discovery.
The program is an 8-day inclusive package: accommodation, French classes, daily activities, transportation.
Meals: Weekday breakfasts and lunches are included. Dinner inclusion depends on whether you choose family homestay or
hotel accommodation. More details below.

Please note that there is a one-hour time difference between Brisbane (GMT+10) and New Caledonia (GMT+11).
During the trip, you will complete a 15-hour French course (3 hours of French lessons per day, for 5 days). Classes are taught in a casual environment, through interactive techniques (conversation, games, music), incorporating elements of the local culture.
Class groups are determined according to the participants' levels, from beginners to advanced. French is spoken at all times (exceptions are made for beginners when needed, and when activities require further explanations e.g. safety rules).
Teachers are experienced and certified in FLE (Français Langue Etrangère / French as a Foreign Language).
Throughout your stay, you will be immersed in New Caledonian culture with engaging workshops on Kanak traditions, including pottery painting, weaving, and a hands-on bougna cooking session.
Explore Nouméa and its surroundings every afternoon, with activities such as guided city tours, visits to the Centre Culturel Tjibaou, a
wine and chocolate tasting, and more!

CREIPAC offers a Host Family Homestay option, for an authentic, budget-friendly experience where you stay with locals, enjoy home-cooked meals, and fully immerse yourself in the culture.
Otherwise, there are two hotel accommodation options to choose from:
Le Lagon Hotel is a boutique hotel located near the beach and city center, offering a pool, spa, and family-friendly amenities.
Le Beaurivage is a modern hotel on the waterfront, providing a relaxed atmosphere with a pool, restaurant, and rooms featuring lagoon views.

A minimum deposit of $500 is required to hold your booking. Bookings are confirmed once we have received your completed Booking Form
and payment in full.
