DELF Prim and DELF Junior

DELF (Diplôme d'Etudes en Langue Française) and DALF (Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française) are official qualifications awarded by the French Ministry of Education to certify the competency of candidates from outside France in the French language. DELF and DALF are composed of 6 diplomas that are in line with the 6 levels of the Common European Framework of reference for Languages (CEFRL)

The 6 diplomas that make up DELF and DALF are completely independent. This means that candidates can register for the examination of their choice, according to their level.

              A1 DELF A1 Basic
A2 DELF A2

B1 DELF B1   Independent
B2 DELF B2

C1 DALF C1 Proficient
C2 DALF C2

At each level the four core language skills are assessed:

                    >   Listening comprehension
                    >   Reading comprehension
                    >   Speaking & Interaction skills
                    >   Writing skills

DELF Prim is built on the same model as the DELF for adults, but with topics adapted to suit the primary school students aged 7 to 12 years old. The junior version of DELF aims at secondary school students aged between 12 and 17 years old.

Why sit for the DELF?

    >   This gives your child the opportunity to demonstrate their skills in their French language skills
    >   They feel rewarded for their work and motivated to reach higher levels
    >   They get used to sitting exams
    >   French universities & Grandes Ecoles recognize a DELF B2 for undergraduate entry as meeting French requirements.

Why at Alliance?

Delf and Dalf examiners are trained regularly and  have followed a compulsory professional training to be accredited by the CIEP. All examiners are French as a foreign language teachers. They value each candidate and apply a can-do evaluation in a friendly, welcoming and reassuring evaluating style.
