French vs. Australian Wines

Much of our Australian wine regions have a storied history with French grape varieties. We have looked up to and wanted to emulate the greats  of France - Champagne, Burgundy - and our famed Shiraz hails from the esteemed Rhône Valley. Now that Australian wines have gained their own unique, revered identity, how do our French counterparts stack up? How do our 'terroirs' compare? 

Ticket price includes tasting of 6 wines with presentation by sommelier + cheese and charcuterie share platter.
