DELF (Diplôme d'Etudes en Langue Française) and DALF (Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française) are official qualifications awarded by the French Ministry of Education to certify the linguistic proficiency of non-native French speakers. DELF and DALF are comprised of 6 diplomas which correspond with the 6 levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL).

DELF Prim is based on the same model as DELF for adults, but with topics adapted to primary school students aged 7 to 12 years old. The junior version of DELF is aimed at secondary school students aged between 12 and 17 years old.
DELF Prim is turning 10 this year! Watch the short video below celebrating this milestone.

Why sit for the DELF?
> It gives your child the opportunity to demonstrate their French language skills
> They feel rewarded for their work and motivated to reach higher levels
> They get used to sitting exams
> In France, the DELF B2 is officially recognised as a minimum requirement for undergraduate entry into French
universities & Grandes Ecoles.
Why at Alliance?
The Alliance Francaise de Brisbane is the only DELF and DALF accredited examination centre in Queensland. Our DELF and DALF examiners
undergo regular training and have previously completed the compulsory professional training required for France Education International
accreditation. All of our examiners also teach French as a foreign language. They value each candidate and apply a can-do approach
in a friendly,
welcoming
and reassuring evaluation. All candidates who sit the DELF or the DALF at the Alliance, including the junior and prim candidates,
enjoy a great experience and want to sit for the next level as soon as their French is ready.
