What is Beaujolais Nouveau?
Beaujolais Nouveau Day is an annual event which is marked in the French calendar on the third Thursday in November.
As per French tradition, wine is released at 12:01am just weeks after the wine's grapes have been harvested.
The event is so beloved it has become a global sensation and is now held internationally from Australia to Japan to the United States.
