Song and Poetry Competition
Le "Concours de Chansons et de Poésie 2015" will be held on Saturday 29 August 2015 between 1pm and 4pm at Alliance française de Brisbane.
According to their age, children have to sing a song or recite a poem in front of a jury usually composed of two French teachers. Songs and poems must be learnt by heart.

Who can perform and what?
The competition is open to Prep to year 12 students of French :
Prep to grade 4 students will perform a song chosen from the 2015 Song booklet.
Grade 5 to 12 students will choose a poem from the 2015 Poem booklet according to their year level. Children can also select a poem from the 2015 Special Edition celebrating the 100th anniversary of Luc Bérimont's birth.
How do I register?
The registration deadline is Friday 03 August 2015.
The Purchase Order Form specifying the number of children entering the competition has to be filled in and sent back to firstname.lastname@example.org. An invoice will be issued and sent out to you. Alliance française will not accept any change in numbers after the invoice has been sent out.
Payment has to be forwarded to Alliance française within two weeks of the issuing date of the invoice.

- Discount: 5% discount for 20 to 49 students enrolled / 10% discount for 50 and more students enrolled.
When are the results published and what prize can I expect?
- Tuesday 01 September: Results for the Poetry competition will not be mailed to schools but will be available on the Alliance's website.
- Friday 11 September: The Prize giving ceremony will be held at 4.15pm until 5.00pm at Alliance Française de Brisbane.
- RSVP is essential.
- Uniform is not compulsory. All participants are welcome. Only finalists and mentions will be called out. The ones from the Poetry competition will be invited to recite their poem.
What are the prizes?
The prizes offered by our proud sponsors include books, French magazines, posters, cinema tickets, food vouchers, French products and many more. A certificate will be issued to all the students rewarded with a Prize or a mention.
