UPPER INTERMEDIATE 2

Standard Courses - Once a week

Fancy a trip down memory lane? Upper Intermediate 2 focuses on the themes of history and memory to build the skills required to talk with precision about the past. You’ll describe different types of jobs in the past (Autrefois, l’allumeur de réverbères allumait les lampes dans les rues avec du feu), talk about childhood memories and describe situations using the 5 senses (Je me rappelle le jour où j’ai gouté une madeleine pour la première fois). You’ll also analyse different ways of storytelling, including the use of the literary past tense (Le passé simple) and speculate about hypotheticals in the past (Si j’avais vu l’invitation, j’aurais pu aller à la soirée).
This course is designed for students who have completed Upper Intermediate 1 or who have been assessed prior to enrolling.
Required textbook: Cosmopolite 4
Recommended textbook: Grammaire Progressive - Avancé (+ Answer book)
