to the French language. You'll discover the beauty of the French language in a breezy one hour per week, over ten weeks.
You'll be mastering the basics, such as introducing yourself and others (Bonjour, je m’appelle Jean), general greetings and

ELEMENTARY 1
So you’ve decided you’d like to learn French. You’re an absolute beginner, and don’t know where to start. Elementary 1 is the course for

to linguistic greatness. With a focus on travel and vacations, this course will help you to indicate your destination and origin (Excusez-moi,
où est le musée?),
naming and locating places (Ah, le Métro, génial!), and other general travel enquiries (accommodation, tourist destinations). You
will also talk about your family (J’adore ma femme!), describe people’s physical appearance (Leurs yeux sont très beaux),
and your likes and dislikes (J’aime les escargots).

ELEMENTARY 3
You’re well underway on your journey to grasp the basics of French! With a focus on the day-to-day, Elementary
3 will help you talk about your passions, hobbies, and dreams (J’aime jouer au foot, c’est mon rêve de jouer pour l'Australie),
and learn how to ask for and give the time (Quelle heure est-il? Il est 3h30). Additionally, you will be able to discuss your
daily routine including explaining basic health issues (Quand je me suis reveillé ce matin, je me suis fait mal au dos),
describing your job (Je travaille dans une usine, j’aime beaucoup!), getting out and about, and suggesting, accepting, and
refusing an invitation (Merci mais je suis trop occupé pour participer).

ELEMENTARY 4
It’s time to reflect and rewind! Elementary 4 will help you talk about your memories from the past and plans for the future. Learn how to
draw upon distant past memories, discuss recent experiences, and look forward to future plans (Quand j’étais jeune, je voulais être un
pilote).
You will also be able to understand a biographical description of someone’s life (Il a grandit à Nantes, puis
a démenagé à Paris),
and learn how to describe their physical appearance (Ses cheveux sont longs et son nez est petit). Finally, you’ll learn how to
give general advice to people, and also how to understand and plan for travel (Nous allons à Nouméa, où est la crème solaire?).

ELEMENTARY 5
You’ve come this far, and you’ve almost finished the Elementary program! Elementary 5 is designed to go deeper into aspects of topics
covered in Elementary 1-4. Touching on travel and vacations, you’ll be able to describe a holiday location and choose your accommodation (Où
est le meilleur hôtel à Québec?).
You’ll also cover the day-to-day, including talking about the weather (Il pleut depuis deux semaines), food preferences (J’aime
les fraises, mais je n’aime pas les pommes),
understanding a menu, grocery shopping (Excusez-moi, dans quelle allée se trouve le lait?), and describing sensations and
emotions (Quand je pleure, je suis triste et fatigué). Finally, you’ll practise comparing a past situation with the present (Je
jouais au golf, mais maintenant, je fais du vélo),
and discussing your reading habits.

ELEMENTARY 6
In the final Elementary level course, it's time to take your French out on the town! Elementary 6 will help you develop the skills to
converse whilst shopping and dining out, and to plan your very own soirée. You'll be able to comment on clothes (Quelle jolie
chemise rayée!),
choose an outfit, and interact with shop assistants (Vous payez par carte?). You’ll learn how to order at a restaurant (Nous
allons prendre deux verres de vin)
and describe your experience (Les plats sont délicieux, mais les serveurs ne sont pas très agréables). You’ll also organise a
social gathering (Je vous invite à fêter l'anniversaire de mon chien!), as well as discuss music, film and theatre (Je n'ai pas
aimé le dernier film avec Dany Boon, et toi?).

on employment, life experience, and sport. You’ll learn how to look for a job and understand a job offer (Félicitations, bienvenue dans
l’équipe!),
as well as how to post a job ad as a business owner (Nous cherchons quelqu’un de motivé). Furthermore, you’ll be able to talk about
