Level A2 objectives:
- Can understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment).
- Can communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters.
- Can describe in simple terms aspects of his/her background, immediate environment and matters in areas of immediate need.

Upper Elementary 1

This course is for students who have completed level A1 Elementary 4 or been assessed prior to enrolling. In this course, students learn the vocabulary and language structures required to:

  • Recall events and memories using the past tenses
  • Describe a photograph
  • Understand a tourist guide
  • Write a postcard

Upper Elementary 2

This course is for students who have completed level A2 Upper Elementary 1 or been assessed prior to enrolling. In this course, students learn the vocabulary and language structures required to:

  • Describe and talk about architecture, types of accommodation and specific locations
  • Talk about projects and plans using the future tense
  • Describe an object and how it is used
  • Talk about what you are going to do

Upper Elementary 4

This course is for students who have completed level A2 Upper Elementary 3 or been assessed prior to enrolling. In this course, students learn the vocabulary and language structures required to:

  • Describe a person’s looks, character and personality
  • Talk about your feelings and emotions
  • Understand French media headlines and read simple articles
  • Review popular French television series and films

Upper Elementary 5

This course is designed for students who have completed level A2 Upper Elementary 4 or been assessed prior to enrolling. In this course, students learn the vocabulary and language structures required to:

  • Understand and respond to a newspaper advertisement
  • Make suggestions, express wishes and desires for the future
  • Book and ask for information about a tourist location
  • Prepare your holiday itinerary – book accommodation and flight reservations
