Covid update

How we continue to navigate the pandemic and keep Covid safe together.

Last updated: 2 December 2022

Current status:

Face masks are not a requirement, however if you choose to wear one we support this decision.

Social distancing of 1.5m between persons is practised. Occupant density in the lobby is restricted to 1 person per 2 square metres. The same limit is applied to small in-person group classes.

All classrooms are equipped with HEPA filter-fitted air purifiers.

COVID-19 vaccination is not a requirement to enter the Alliance Française premises.

For more information, please consult the Queensland Health Covid-19 advice page.

We will continue to adhere to all space, distance, hygiene and contact tracing requirements and we are closely monitoring all government requirements and public health orders.

Likewise, we fully expect all students and members to follow the government’s advice to stay at home if they are feeling sick.

The health and safety of our community come first and, if deemed appropriate, future safety measures may exceed government requirements.

What we're doing

1. Face masks recommended indoors
3. Hand sanitizer stations
4. Pre/post class cleaning
5. Deep cleaning
6. Protective screens (at reception)
7. Clear signage and markers throughout the premises
8. All of our staff have completed a COVID-19 safety and hygiene training.

How we're COVID safe and ready

  1. Restriction monitoring - Our team is actively monitoring changes and has plans in place to handle any changes to restrictions.
  2. Ready to go online - As demonstrated during the multiple lockdowns (long and short), we have the technology and systems in place to move online with short notice and minimal disruption to our students.
  3. Contract tracing ready - In the advent of an active case visiting our premises we have electronic records that can be provided to Queensland Health alongside a plan to rapidly advise any potential close or casual contacts.

We're all in this together.

By staying united and following (if not exceeding) public health advice we have the best chance of avoiding and minimising outbreaks.  Our students and our team are our top priority and we are committed to looking after each other and staying COVID safe.
