Alliance Française de Brisbane wishes to play a key role in teachers' training and liaising in Brisbane. We will do our utmost to help the teachers of French.
► WE ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS

► WE SEND YOU UPDATES
Register your name on our school list and we will keep you informed of Alliance Française or any related French activities through our term bulletin. Please always keep an eye on our website and do not forget to check the children's section.
► WE WELCOME US AS A MEMBER
If your school becomes a member ($75) you will be able to borrow from our library but also gain entry in our competitions and win tickets for various French outings or join our events at a discounted price or have access to our free for members services (French chat, choir...). Your students also will gain discount for activities such as the French competitions, the school visits, ...Take your AF membership now and rip the benefits!
► WE WELCOME YOUR CLASS
You can book a visit at Alliance Française with your students. We will organise tailor-made workshops to answer their needs...Or, if that suits you best, we can come to your school to offer specific workshops. Please check here for all the details.
► WE OFFER YOU FREE TUITION
We are also happy to offer you to come to one of our French classes per year provided that the class is running and has seats available. We will take in charge the full fee of your tuition. You will just have to pay for your membership and purchase the books (5% cheaper for members), if necessary.
This would provide you with the opportunity to maintain and expand your French through pratice with our native speakers, as well as keep you updated on the French things, here and there, liaise with other professionals working in the teaching of French and more widely, join the Brisbane French-speaking community.
We understand that the needs for training vary considerably from one teacher to another.That is why you will need to sit for a placement test. One of our teacher will then appoint the most appropriate class for you.
Most classes run for 2 or 3 hours per week over 10 weeks but we also offer workshops on specific language skills at the end of each term and during December and January, if this is more convenient for you. We also run a free French conversation evening for our members on Wednesday nights during school terms from 6 to 8 pm.
► WE SUPPORT YOUR TEACHING ACTIVITY

Fête de la Musique invade Brisbane later on 21 June. We open a children stage here at AF at 12.30pm and 3.30pm. Please call us if you wish to arrange their visit.
Finally we hope you will spread the word about our French competitions for students of French and whose rewards will be quite promising in 2011.
