Semaine de la langue francaise

Every year in March the French-Speaking World celebrates the French language. The "Semaine de la langue Française", (French language week) always culminates on the International Day of "La Francophonie" on 20 March. On that occasion 10 words are chosen for the people to play with the language.

This year the words are all related to the theme of Solidarity :

Cordée,
Avec,
Réseauter,
Choeur,
Accueillant,
Agapes,
Complice,
Fil,
Main,
Harmonieusement.

L'Alliance Française invites you to participate in this event and to celebrate solidarity. Children and adults can participate into our drawing and poetry exhibition. Your masterpieces will be sold for a symbolic $10 at AF reception.

The profits made from the sale will go to the Disaster and Flood relief Premier's fund.

How can you participate ?

- Children will choose one word out of 10 and produce a drawing on a A5 paper.

- Adult students will choose one word out of 10 and write one sentence. The different sentences will be collected and arranged in poems.
