"Born in Paris , during my primary schooling I had the opportunity to have an art teacher who believed that I had a gift which would qllow me to introduce my work at ''Place du Tertre'' a famous place at Monmartre.
The art teacher gave me the opportunity to mix with the artists of Monmartre and I learned through their contacts to re creat what I was seing.
The ''Sacre Coeur'' and the streets surrounding it are well known and appreciate through out the wolrd.
Numerous artist's like Van Ghogh, Turner, Utrillo, Gauguin, Monet... and many others used to gather together for painting at the "Bateau Lavoir". Those exceptional artist left an ever lasting impression on me.
The atmosphere was unique in that wonderfull corner of Paris. My life was transformed and since then I always experience real pleasure expressing myself through art.
To this day I still feel a very strong connection to the time and place and the characters." |
