My name is Jeremy Marie, I am a French Man of 27 years old and I am currently realizing a World Tour by hitchhiking. I started this journey in October 2007 from my hometown of Caen in France. I am currently the author of a double project:
Touring the World by hitchhiking. So far, I crossed Europe, Middle East, Africa, the Atlantic Ocean by catamaran, Central America, North America, South America, the Pacific Ocean by sailing boat, and I am going to arrive in Australia. I went through 137350 kilometres, 1381 vehicles and 50 countries only by hitchhiking. Each kilometre further depends of the good will of total strangers.
Thumb's Up for Tolerance. I have been witnessing the kind side of the World Population. I also learned about cultures and ways of living. This is the reason why I decided to share my journey in a pedagogical way with Schools, Universities, Libraries, Rotary Clubs and Alliances Françaises by realizing slides-shows conferences. I also found important to share values as perseverance, tolerance and open-mindedness through many examples. |
