Brisbane Queer Film Festival
Fri 8 - Sun 17 Apr 2011
The twelfth annual Brisbane Queer Film Festival brings you an outstanding selection of the most engaging, inspiring, and of course the most entertaining queer films from around the world.
This year’s highlights are a celebration in diversity and include Gigola, the tale of a young French woman who loses herself in the hedonistic nightlife of 1960s Paris after the suicide of her female lover; Undertow, a stunning Peruvian story of secrets, life-after-death and love; Sasha, a film from Germany about music, family and a tangled web of untruths; and the acclaimed British drama, The Secret Diaries of Miss Anne Lister, based on the true life story of famous nineteenth century landowner and industrialist, Anne Lister.
