Private classes
If you need flexibility in order to accommodate a busy schedule or feel like you will benefit more from learning at your own pace, private instruction is probably the best solution for you. Private tuition can be organised for one, two or three students and can take place here at the Alliance, or at your home (this incurs a fee for the teacher’s travel costs).
Private classes are perfect for addressing specific needs, brush up on existing skills, prepare for a specific occasion or enjoy conversation with a French native speaker: help our teachers understand your objectives and design a personalized curriculum.

If tuition occurs outside the Alliance Française de Brisbane, a travel fee for each session is payable by the student for the teacher. Travel fees per session are as follow:

| Zone 2: 9 to 14 km away from AFB $25 |
| Zone 3: 15 to 19 km away from AFB $30 |
| Zone 4: 20 to 24 km away from AFB $35 |
| Zone 5: 25 km away from AFB $POA |
Terms and conditions
Payment policy: Students must specify the amount of hours they wish to commit to and pay for upfront.
Cancellation: We require a 24-hour notice of cancellation directly to the teacher and to us. Students who fail to attend or to cancel prior to 24-hour their private lesson will be charged the full amount. If a student wishes to withdraw from private tuition altogether, the remaining hours are re-calculated according to their price range. There are 2 options for the remaining fees:
1.The remaining tuition fees can be held in credit to be used towards a general group class in the following term only, or
2.The remaining tuition fees, minus 20% administration charge can be refunded.
Membership: Private tuition fees do not include membership to the Alliance. Membership is compulsory for all students and cost $50 yearly.
Private tuition rate for loyal students: Students who have cumulated 100 hours of PT over any period of time can benefit from the special rate of $65/hour. Below 100 hours, please apply other rates, depending on how many hours you purchase up front.
