Song and Poetry Competition

Le "Concours de Chanson et de Poésie 2015" was held on Saturday 29 August 2015 between 1pm and 4pm at Alliance française de Brisbane. 16 different schools entered 239 participants. What a success!

According to their age, children sang a song or recited a poem in front of a jury usually composed of two French teachers. Songs and poems were learnt by heart. Pronunciation and clarity, memorisation, interpretation and prosody were the 4 main criteria.

The Prize giving ceremony happened on Friday 18 September. We had the great pleasure to welcome Matt Hetherington
a Brisbane poet member of the committee of the Queensland Poetry Festival who surprised us with his reciting a French poem.

Please find the RESULTS here.
