As every year since 1985 the commercialization of this famous French red wine will start on the third Wednesday of November, at Midnight.
Created in 1951
as a subterfuge to circumvent a law that forbade the selling of listed wines, including Beaujolais, before the 15th of December; Beaujolais Nouveau is now awaited all over the world.
France produces more than 60 millions bottles of this light and fruity wine every year, which represent a third of the global Beaujolais wine. But only 38 million bottles stay in France while the rest is spread all throughout the world, and is particularly popular in Japan, Germany and the US.
