Professionnal Photographer Eric Victor
Eric Victor has worked for the last 30 years as an advertising photographer, running one of the largest studio in Brisbane. This has taken him all over the world working for large corporations and advertising cmpanies. He has worked for publications such as Vogue, Belle and House and Garden and has photofraphing hotels such as Marriott, Sheraton and Hyatt.
I always have considered photography as a language...probably the most eloquent language ever devised. Like all languages, it has its grammar and vocabulary. I don't mean just technical terms and rules, but an entire creative world of message, meaning and expression, which is the content of an image. As we choose words for a sentence, we choose elements for an image. The aim is similar: to express oneself well and fulfil creative needs. This is the most important part of image-making, the rest is just a matter of pressing a button." Eric

As in the case of the previous two editions, the winner will be invited to Paris for a week (with travel and accommodation expenses covered by the Alliance Française Foundation), and there will be a special exhibition of his/her photo in a Parisian gallery. The 40 international photos selected by the jury of the Foundation will be on display in a group exhibition in Paris and that collection of photos will also be available to the various branches of the Alliances Française for display.
