Fete De La Musique

Let's celebrate music!!!

This year again, for the fourth time, la fête de la musique Brisbane has proved to be a huge success among Brisbane people, representing well Australia in the concert of nations participating in this day.

Currently held in more than 450 cities in the world, Fête de la Musique is now the largest international live music event. Throughout Brisbane, people played or listened to all styles of music, from classical to electronic, jazz and folk, traditional, rock, rap and pop music.

Performances were held in Queen Street Mall, Central Station, St John's Cathedral, but also city cats, buses, bridges... places where music is not expected!

On this beautiful day there was a huge turn out: the artists put on a great show and were cheered on by an amazed crowd!

This year, Liam Griffin came at the Alliance Française to share with us his latest songs with a gut-wrenching vocal performance.

Overall, we had over 250 musicians, guitarists, solist, 600 school children and 100 volunteers participating in 81 venues accross Brisbane.
