FRENCH COMPETITIONS IN SCHOOLS

Registration deadline: Friday 03 August 2012

Queensland Students of French from grade 5 to 12 can participate into La Belle France and Alain Duval competitions. According to their grade, students will choose the appropriate paper. The registration deadline and submission of projects for the La Belle France and Alain Duval competitions is Friday 03 August 2012.

Le Concours de Chansons et de Poesie 2012 will be held on Saturday 25 August at Alliance francaise de Brisbane. According to their age, children have to sing a song or recite a poem in front of a jury usually composed of two French teachers. Songs and poems must be learnt by heart. The registration deadline for the Poetry competition is Friday 10 August 2012.

The award DELF Prim is the first in the DELF/DALF series of certificates awarded by the French Ministry of Education for proficiency in French as a Foreign Language.

DELF Prim is intended for children who are beginners in French as a Foreign Language and who are either undertaking studies corresponding to the French elementary level or are the right age to undertake such studies under the regulations applicable in their country. Successful candidates receive a certificate identical to the general public version.
