CHANGE OF FORMAT FOR THE COMPETITIONS We have decided to try to meet the requirements of the schools curricula and redesign those competitions so that they could be used as a more efficient teaching tool within the classroom.

The Alain Duval
competition has been re-adapted to be closer to the reality and specificity of the papers students have to take in year 11 and 12. We have focused our attention on some of the topics students cover in those last two years at school. We will be thankful if, as individual schools, you could provide us with a list of topics you would like to be covered in the future. We will also be delighted to take into consideration your comments and ideas to improve this competition to make it as interesting as possible for the students and you.

The La Belle France competition has also changed with a paper for year 9&10 students. Grade 5 to 8 will enter the more traditional version with themed questions and corresponding creative task. This year La Belle France competition will celebrate "Les jeux du Pacifique" that will take place in New Caledonia from 27 August to 10 September.
