Saturday 7 March at 1.30pm - French Carnivale
The children aged 3 to 12 yo will celebrate "Carnaval " on Saturday 7 March from 1.30pm at the Brisbane Square Library. Whether that festival lost most of its original significance, it remains widespread within the French speaking community. The children will discover the different expressions of this celebration enjoying fun activities. Hopefully crepes will be at the menu!
The children have to come dressed up for our final parade. The best costumes will be rewarded. Download the flyer here.

 | March - Alliance Française French Film Festival 2010 ***Alliance Française is organising various special school screenings for the children during the French Film festival:
The children pay $10 and a ticket is offered to the accompanying teacher (1 ticket offered for 20 kids).
A free fun activity hour can be booked previous to the screening. Do not forget to mention whether you want to attend that too when you book.

 | 6,7 and 8 April - Easter Painting Workshops for 3 to 12yo
The workshop will explore the world of the most famous Parisian museums and enable the children to play with French painters. They will discover the vocabulary of the house with Van Gogh, that of the garden with Monet, shapes and colours with Gauguin, music with Degas...Different techniques will be used. Let's go FRENCH IN ACTION! |

6 to 9 April - Easter holiday course for teens
Alliance Française offers revision courses during the holidays for the Teens (grade 8 to grade 12). These intensive courses enable the students to upgrade their learning (wether they are advanced beginner or Intermediate ) and overcome their difficulties. There is a focus on the students' listening and speaking skills through immersion in French. The written French is also enhanced in preparation for the end of year final exams. This is a 2h class a day for 4 days.

Fridays 20 and 27 August - Pronunciation workshops for teens
Children aged 13 and more will be able to take a pronunciation workhop. Based around fun activitties (tongue twisters, dictations, songs), the worshop will offer a summarised presentation of the difficulties of French pronunciation to help the students tackle them. It will help the student listening and reinforce their pronunciation.
