My family fled from France in 1685 so I have French blood in my veins and my French teachers think, as I murder the French language, that I have French blood on my hands.
I have taught medicine for fifty years in a variety of countries and I think I have an understanding and empathy for students who struggle with a language. The University of Queensland has given me a gold medal (well it looks gold) for excellence in teaching. Pedagogy straddles many disciplines including language teaching.
With a French daughter-in-law and three French grand-children I am ardently francophile and I would like to contribute my energies to supporting and promoting the Alliance Française.
